We all are very well aware of those annoying windows 10 updates popping up every day on our PC. Now finally Microsoft starts thinking to find a way Windows 10 handles updates and it’s using machine learning to accomplish the task. If this project is successful, than updating Windows 10 should, in the future, become much less annoying for all its users.
If you are a Windows 10 user than you have an idea that Windows 10 updates are little aggressive when installing updates. Unless you know about how you can manage Windows 10 Updates. Those updates comes thick and fast, and start installing when you least expect it. And sometime it may reboot your PC at wrong moment.
The new way of Updating Windows 10
Microsoft is thinking to have a new way for updating Windows 10. And Microsoft has start testing a plan to do this at right moment. And it’s being tested right now by Windows 10 insiders. Microsoft is doing this with the help of artificial intelligence. Which Microsoft hopes will be able to accurately predict when the time is right to install updates.
This predictive model is being tested right now in Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17723 (RS5) and Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18204 (19H10). Which may come to ordinary Windows 10 users later this year and in early 2019.
In a blog post by Microsoft, it is clear that Microsoft has trained a predictive model that can accurately predict when the right time to restart the device is. And that means, that Microsoft will not only check if you are currently using your device before it restart, but they will also try to predict if you had just left the device to grab a cup of coffee and return shortly after.
Accuracy of this Model
Microsoft said in their blog post, ” We’ve been using this model on internal devices, and we’ve seen promising result upon rollout. Due to the nature if it’s architecture, we’re able to update the model with minimal turnaround time based on our insights from its performance.”
The Final Words
As we’ve seen above that Microsoft is finally care about those updates for your PC at wrong time. And start doing that process by machine learning technique. And it will be more accurate in future.
