A user reported, “Last night I was updated my Windows 10 and it all went smoothly, but then I find out that my files in Documents are deleted. This includes my crucial data and financial info.”
“We have paused the rollout of the Windows 10 October 2018 update for all users as we investigate isolated reports of users missing some files after updating”, says Microsoft on its Support Site for Windows Update.
Microsoft said in its Support Site for Windows update, “If you have manually downloaded the Windows 10 Update Installation media, please don’t install it and wait until new media is available.”
